Renal Dialysis

Cairns Private Hospital offers a Renal Dialysis service. The four chair unit is located within the hospital. Each chair has its own television set and our staff provide a friendly and efficient approach to treatment. Access to interpreters for non-English speaking people is provided.

Holiday Dialysis
For people holidaying in the beautiful Cairns region, the Cairns Private Hospital Renal Dialysis Unit also offers a holiday dialysis service. This service is available after 2.30pm Monday to Friday. For bookings please contact:

Admission

On arrival to Cairns Private Hospital you are asked to check in at the Front Reception Desk. Our admission staff will welcome you and confirm necessary and personal details. Please bring with you your current medications and payment if necessary (see below).

Financial Information

Veterans and war widows
Eligible veterans and war widows do not pay any expenses for treatment at Cairns Private Hospital. Accounts are forwarded to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs for payment.

Privately insured patients
Claims for hospitalisation are made directly to your health fund. All fees for doctors and pharmacy items are billed separately.

Uninsured patients
Overseas and Patients with no private cover are required to pay their account in total on arrival at the hospital.
